BAKWAN TAUGE

juz saw some photos posted up on IVLE by tutor, Ibu Novi. pictures tell it all....
20/02/06 first dae of term break
at tutor's house in PR for proj fr 12-2pm, which is to learn an indonesian dish and introduce it to other students. we were divided into two groups. e other gp makin glutinous rice w durian sauce.
finds it to b fun, got some hands-on. A group of us fr strangers to frens, workin together with e same aim^^. however was too tired tat dae. stood for e whole dae and facin oil, and was embarrassed enuff to cut the carrot wrongly into mani small round pieces, instead of ''matchsticks''. den i realise my mistake, n began to recover them by cuttin those round shaped pieces into small short sticks. lol.... tutor oso veri nice, onli said:''oo, u cut like this ah. like dat oso can, longer will b better''. without sayin much, she proceeds to cut another portion of e carrot and began showin us hw to cut carrot into matchsticks sizes. we tried cuttin after tat, but ours were of diff thickness, and we tried to mix tutor's n ours to try cover e uneveness=PP hmmm lookin forward to fri.
Kityi mixin flour. will b goin her house@clementi on fri to cook for 200 ppl!!! (proj actual dae fr 6-8pm)
our gp in charge of fried bakwan tauge on e RHS. personalli i prefer our bakwan tauge coz it's fried!!! the durian taste nice(love durians^^) but find it too sweet for mi on subsequent tries.
gp photo at e end. we finishd off late at ard 3 instead of 2pm. thus was late for dinner.
act got a list of stuffs for us to pick on(angklung, batik, traditional costumes, singing, logistics, javanese dance etc) i was decidin btw batik(2 sessions) & cookin. since i cant cook at all, and cookin onli consists of 1 session, and tat it might b e onli dish i noe of=PP hmmm dis is quite a cool proj. as in no nid to write reports or do research. an easy wae to introduce indonesian's culture to us.
after proj, i rushd bak hm to change clothes, and juz fell on bed and slept for an exact of 10mins, b4 i feel a bit more fresh to turn up for dinner with my sec buddies lianna, andrea, mao mao, YS. invited MY along! hehe=D we celebrated YS's bdae in advance @ changin appetite @ marina sq. (her bdae falls on 29feb,leap yr). hmm she should b onli 5+ yrs old??=PPP Happi bdae to YS!!! 祝你永远青春美丽^^
